The group exhibition Symptoms of Society, curated by Alenka Gregorič, is opening at the Guangdong Museum of Art in China. The exhibition will be on display from 27 May to 8 July 2017. Its focus is on the presentation of artworks from various generations, countries and media. During the preparation of the exhibition a larger set of topics developed which address numerous questions of the contemporary society – the city and its urban development, national art histories, “common” art systems and history, territories, etc. Selection of works aims to present a comprehensive image of the region to the Chinese audience. Alongside works of internationally renowned artists it also shows works of younger artists from the region.
The exhibition, which will present more than thirty internationally renowned artists from Southeast Europe, is supported by the Slovenian Ministry of Culture and the Embassy of Slovenia in Beijing.
